Distressed wood walls...

 

Good Monday morning friends....  it is beautiful out today and I hope that you are enjoying it!

I know this is a simple thing but I adore this wall and the little swing arm light!  The wall treatement is what really gets me.  I love the distressed wood walls they give a space a sense of history where there may have been none.  We used one in our cabana out by the pool and I love love it.  We had our family photos taken out there and I cannot wait to share with you!  It looks so cool!

Anyway- busy day ahead and just wanted to wish you a good morning and a good week!  The holidays are about to take us over so I am squeezing out the last bits of quite time and enjoying every single minute!

Okay I am in love.  I love the mix of metals//the stone//the greige cabinets//the stone.... oh did I say that twice.  I adore this mix with the marble as the back splash, perfection.

Grey living...

 Dare I say it has been difficult as of late to find inspiring interior images...  (shh..) I have been overwhelmed by seeing the same images again and again.  No matter how I re arrange them in my head I am not feeling inspired.  It is a problem that stems from my occupation I do believe!  Sometimes I need a little breather to recharge the creative batteries and get started again.  This however is AMAZING // deep contrast // vintage mixed with new // grey // need I say more.

weekend wishes....

 

It's the weekend again!!!  Aren't you excited?  I cannot wait to take it a little easier and get to my fall cleaning.. I know it is similar to spring cleaning but I really feel the need to simplify and complete projects right now.  Maybe it is mental preparation for the upcoming holidays, I am not sure, but I want to clean everything out and eliminate the excess in my life.  

A few things that are inspiring me this week...

I found this while looking for a piece for a client and I need 2 for my bedroom!

Clean and Simple {pond australia}

 

I love the simple display and clean feeling of this shop.  It reminds me of the shops in Paris that display individual piece but when you purchase they pull a freshly wrapped piece from the back.  What a wonderful way to shop!

I love the simple clean lines of this home..  The floor makes me smile.. and just how clean and easy it all seems.  The texture is just enough and the dark grout in the backsplash keeps the tile from being too white.. perfect.

Dark grey and brass in the kitchen...

 

I love the clean lines of this kitchen, the brass keeps it from being modern and the light is so perfect in letting the size of the island really be seen.  I also love the styling with the mass of artichoke on the wood top!

Gorgeous and simple is the perfect for this home.  I love the clean lines and muted colors in the decor which seems to flow so perfectly inside and out of the spaces.

I have to say I love it when something comes around that makes my life pretty and easier I am a happy happy girl.  I found out about Paperless Post from a friend who sent out an invite a while back, and I love love it.  It is classy and makes party planning easier for me with guest tracking and easy additions to the list.  So when I found out that Johnathan Adler was designing a group of cards and invites for them it seemed like a perfect fit.  I love love them!  (a lot of love in this post apparently)

Simply wonderfully white...

 

I am completely falling for this light white clean feeling right now.  I have spent the last few days working with a lot of color... it can kinda scramble a design brain.  This space feels so relaxing and simply wonderful!

We are getting geared up for the holiday weekend here and cannot wait to spend 4 days hanging out around the pool and setting off fire works!  (shhh)
