Wishing you a wonderful holiday weekend! This is one of the first years in a long time that we have not been out of town and I am really enjoying the time to relax and get prepared for the upcoming Christmas rush.  I know that the most important part of prepping for the holidays is managing my time properly.  I will be organizing my lists and cannot wait to start checking things off.  How about you, are you just starting or, dare I say it, already done?

I love the dark grey walls and dark grey drapery.  Just those bits of brass and the white from the sheeting and artwork sets such a wonderful masculine feeling.  Perfect.

Lately this look has drawn me in.  Clean white walls and neutral flooring with dark accents to really set off the space.  Simplicity with a little punch.

Dark grey walls

I love the contrast in these spaces.  With the dark walls you can set off so many wonderful soft colors and it gives such a beautiful back drop for the textures of the wood and the gold frames.  I could just move right in.

Rustic beauty...

The simplicity of the furnishings let the rustic texture of the wall really direct the feeling of this room.  I adore the hand made chandelier, wanted this one bad for myself! 

I hope you are making plans for this coming weekend!  We are on the countdown for school to end so we can spend our days poolside and playing.. but for now our weekends are full of working on the yard and landscape here.

Grey in the bedroom..

 

We all know I love a good bedroom design... but this is a favorite.  The ceiling detail, the light, the view... need I continue.    I also just love the way the linen bedding is a soft accent to the concrete and the rougher feeling in the space.

I wanted to thank you for your great advice on the lounges for the pool!  Who knew!  I stumbled across this clean clean bedroom and thought to myself what a relaxing palette.  Love the sconces, so simple they almost hide on the grey walls.
