Fall dinner party...

I am hosting a little birthday celebration here at the house in the next few weeks and I have been searching for inspiration.  There are so many wonderful ideas that I think I will be mixing many of them together for our party.  Long harvest style tables with linen table clothes greenery and simple place settings.. so many things to think of now onto desserts and appetizers.  Any suggestions??

Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Candy Corn But Were Afraid To Ask

I am going to admit up front that I've never been a huge fan of candy corn.
But it's always there.

Each time autumn arrives, candy corn is sure to follow!

My own opinion of candy corn was most likely formed as a child. When Halloween
and Trick or Treat came around, most friends had their favorites that they
hoped to get on Trick or Treat night. Reese's, Snickers...my personal favorite were
those B-B-Bats of taffy that came in chocolate, strawberry,
peanut butter and my favorite: banana (remember these?)

In any case, I don't think I ever heard any of my friends or classmates exclaim,
"I hope I get a lot of candy corn!"
It just never happened.

But candy corn is traditional.

It has become part of our culture and it is expected.
And it doesn't taste bad!

Did you know that October 30th is National Candy Corn Day?

Now you do.

According to TLC's article "What is candy corn and how is it made?" by Stephanie Watson,

"Candy corn is a sweet replicate of dried corn kernels. It's considered "mellow cream,"
a name for a type of candy made from corn syrup and sugar that has a marshmallow-like
flavor. although candy corn tastes rich, it's actually fat-free."

Jonathan Adler for Paperless Post...

I have to say I love it when something comes around that makes my life pretty and easier I am a happy happy girl.  I found out about Paperless Post from a friend who sent out an invite a while back, and I love love it.  It is classy and makes party planning easier for me with guest tracking and easy additions to the list.  So when I found out that Johnathan Adler was designing a group of cards and invites for them it seemed like a perfect fit.  I love love them!  (a lot of love in this post apparently)

These are just a few of the pieces that they have- I adore the one below!  If you want something elegant and sophisticated for your next gathering take a moment and check them out
