When in heaven

Good morning! It�s raining here today, and we�ve had thunder and lightning all night. It�s not all bad, though, we needed the rain and this morning the air is clear and much easier to breath.

Yesterday we took the car and drove to the only store we could find, to buy a Norwegian flag. It came up the minute we got home. And I stood there, afterwards and just cried my eyes out. I was so touched by seeing �my� flag up there and I got so home sick. Now I just look at it and it is simply so beautiful. The bright red lightens up the sky! I�ll take a photo later, when it�s a bit more wind, now it just hangs there, resting.

Snow

I woke up to the first snow of the season. And the only positive thing about that is that if it�s going to snow some more all the leaves on the ground won�t show and we won�t have to do anything about it.

New stuff

I received the most beautiful crib for my birthday. Our neighbours have a second hand market every Saturday and Sunday. I have bought several items from there, but when I saw this crib I simply fell in love. So a couple of days ago my Man surprised me with it. I am SO happy! It�s from 1821, isn�t it just amazing?

The cats thought it would be a nice idea to pose, by the way.

The chair I also bought from there and I plan to paint it white and change the fabric to a blue-grey with a little bit of grey-silver mixed in it.

The blue-white vase I also got for my birthday and I just love it. Blue and white is my middle name. The flower I�m a bit unsure of, is it Amaryllis?

The other images is from earlier in the summer, they are taken just outside the house.

Summer sun

Everything is bright, colourful. We�re barefoot in the grass, lying in the sun, taking long walks and just trying to grasp as much as the often short summer in Scandinavia. Perhaps it makes us appreciate it even more.

Anyhow, the consequence is that the blog is still and boring. I�m so sorry.

I hope your summer is as happy as mine!

Back again

A week ago my computer broke down and because of that I haven�t been able to post. Now I�m back though and I hope I haven�t made you too tired to watch my post on colours. ;)
