My Favorite Of The Bunch: Brown & Pink English Transferware Necklace

Yesterday I showed you the cut out shapes of jewelry that I've been working on
this week, and said how the brown with the pink rose was my favorite. Well I love
it even more now and if it doesn't sell right away I just might keep it for myself!
Well I guess I could always make another like it...

Triple-Strand Pearl And Oxidized Sterling Silver Bracelet

I wanted to share with you one of my very favorite bracelets. I made it from
small pearls and sterling silver wire, and I just love it. I wear it as a triple-strand
bracelet, but it can also be worn as a mid-length necklace.

Trying My Hand At Making Rings...Wire Rose Ring

For some reason, I've never made rings before. I think it's just because I've always
been so busy with other things, mostly with making necklaces and pendants, that I
just never gave it a try. Well here is my first attempt! I actually made two rings in
one sitting: this rose ring, and a skull ring that I will post later. I made this ring out
of a length of wire, and I'm really happy with the result. This one is going in my own
jewelry box!

Eye Candy: New Broken China Jewerly

I started taking some photos of my jewelry with my iphone5 instead of with my digital
camera, and I've been really happy with the results. I use a few different photo edit apps
to do much of the editing of each photo right on my phone before I even get them up on my
computer screen. In any case, I took all of the photos below with my phone today. I did most
of them on a window sill with indirect sunlight, and a few with a little sun.

Peek Inside My Studio: Broken China Statement Necklace

Take a peek inside my studio...

I love Flow Blue china, and I love Art Nouveau, so I was thrilled when I came across
a few of these age-damaged plates a few years ago. I knew they would be perfect to
turn into some beautiful jewelry.

Because the floral motif pattern on this china dinner plate is large, I knew it would be
best suited to be made into a larger piece of jewelry - so I made this large statement
necklace. The shorter chain allows the necklace to sit right at the base of the throat,
and it is an eye-catching piece for sure!

I had the three huge tear-shaped pearls set aside for a while, just waiting
for the perfect design to come along. After I made the china part of this necklace I
knew right away that this was going to be their home. I love the way it turned out!

New Bohemian Crescent Moon Necklaces

Here is the first in a series of Bohemian Crescent Moon necklaces I am creating.
Each is completely handcrafted and each features different gems, crystals, and
stones. I absolutely love making these. This necklace features a dipped raw
quartz crystal point that's the most beautiful shade of peacock blue.
Let me know what you think!

My Last Batch Of Broken China Jewelry For 2013!

It's almost hard to believe that today is New Year's Eve! I think the older I get
the faster the years go by! But the new year always gets me inspired to be
productive, to make more jewelry and especially to try out new ideas and
techniques, so I am looking forward to 2014 both as a fresh start and also
creatively! Here is my last batch of broken china jewelry for 2013, I listed all
of these pieces in my Etsy shop last evening. I hope you like them!
