1915 Calendar Plate Butterfly Necklace

I made this necklace from a calendar plate from 1915 and
just listed it in my shop. I love the way it turned out!

The bead is fluorite

weekend wishes..

It has been quite the week and I am really ready for a little break.. this spot looks just about perfect.  I am plotting to see how I can get one of these swings in our back yard!

A few things that might help you relax...

Did you miss modernism week in Palm Springs??  I did and I so wish I had been able to attend!  Here's a fun little peek at a little somethin'.
I am having some need/want issues with this lamp!
Swimsuits are popping up everywhere and now I need to get this for pool side with maybe one of these?? Yep I think so.

Have a great weekend!

A New Sconce

Original light was a reproduction tin sconce.

We replaced it with an $8 sconce I found at our local ReStore (while looking for something else).

The shade comes from one of the old sconces we used above our fireplace in our old house

HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND!

Grey and natural in the kitchen..

I thought it might be nice to ease into the weekend with a beautiful kitchen image.  I love the softness of the cabinetry and the contrast of the natural wood- um and the floor is fabulous!

Have an amazing Friday...

An apartment with an amazing kitchen

When I saw this apartment, especially the kitchen, I was amazed! I love, love, love the roughness, and the way they've used the space. And don't get me started on the counter top in the kitchen... Just gorgeous! I had a hard time choosing my favorite photos of this apartment, so here's a whole bunch.

Antique Red English Transferware: Old Britain Castles

This is the Old Britain Castles china pattern made by Johnson Bros and it's one of my
favorite china patterns. It was produced in a few different colors such as brown, lavender/eggplant, and this red. Some folks refer to it as pink, but it looks more
red to me so I call it red.
